Runesmith is a YouTuber in the TTRPG space, who has my designs available in his shop. I’ve done t-shirts, bath items and stickers with this collaboration.

The prompt I was given for the bath supplies was 'Runic Forge'. My first thought was that a soap bar is a similar shape to an ingot, so I made sure to do the rocky texturing. Next, I wanted to create an experience. I knew the soap would have dice, so I imagined the experience of bathing in the molten lava, and the dice is like the slag. Since Runes were a part of the theme, I also treated the dice shapes in the lava as runes themselves.
Want a closer look? Watch the time lapse! The prompt I was given was "I need something for my winter line". I had just watched Ice Age, and I wanted to give a similar feeling to a section of the opening animation of Gravity Falls. So I thought: What if instead of a sleeping Tarrasque underground, what if one was frozen mid-rampage in the middle of a spell? Imagine being that adventurer. Then I asked, would Runesmith let it out? And the answer was yes.
The prompt I was given for the bath supplies was 'Runic Forge'. I had a vision for how the candle would light up the lava once the candle had burned down low enough, and I wanted to create an experience where lighting the candle would get you one. Wax is a safer version of molten lava, and the dice is like the slag. Since Runes were a part of the theme, I also treated the dice shapes in the lava as runes themselves. I didn't imagine a candle that would sit pretty on a shelf: I imagined a candle where you need to burn it to experience it!
This was a cute collaboration in ever sense of the word. Runesmith drew Arlo, and I finished the design with color, a book bag that revealed Arlo's true intentions, and polished it. I include it because I just love art and having fun with it, including doodling with a friend that turns it into a real sticker to give away at conventions.
